HOORAY FOR JOE

We support where you stand!

Whatcha doing?

Hey Joe

A middle school teacher can not teach at a high school unless certified
and yet that same non-certified teacher can go into a high school class and EVALUATE the high school teacher? And vice-versa.

There's a reason professional football TV analyst/commentators don't work NASCAR races.

We are sewing the parachute during free fall.

Hey Joe, was the CTA's support worth the $600+ a year dues?
Somebody tell the new kids!

Jean Clements was quoted as saying that what Joe had done was "serious." It was serious all right. Serious enough to get him removed from the class room for asking that he have a real peer evaluate him. Serious enough to get CTA and Elia and Steele sweating bullets-- they can't stand negative publicity. What is serious is how flawed this new system is. As for CTA, CTA doesn't need a pat on the back for doing what they are supposed to do--support teachers when they are right. Joe did the right thing by going to the Times after emails to the district and the union were ineffective. Thanks Marlene Sokol, the Times for writing the story, for bring some light to this ongoing "dog and pony show" of an evaluation process.

Wrong as usual, Suzie Dumbass. Middle and high school certification are not separate. I should know- I'm certified English 6-12. Not 6-8 or 9-12. 6-12. Aren't you tired of embarrassing yourself?

Love,
Ricky
